Tisbury Memorial Window - ‘J’ Claypoole
The new Memorial East Window in St. John’s Church, Tisbury, is all about seeing, realisation, wonder, understanding and above all appreciating a very beautiful new creation in a church in a small town in Wiltshire.
The people of Tisbury and the wider community got together to raise funds to repair the east window in the church.
They found Tom Denny, one of the finest stained glass window artists working anywhere today, to create this wonderful new window.
If you have time, take a short drive from the Wylye Valley over to the Nadder Valley - another treat if you use the A350, and go to St. John’s Church. Then you can wander around Tisbury, have a cup of tea or coffee…. lunch in a good pub and come home feeling so glad you saw a new, very lovely piece of fantastic art.
