Codford and district gardening club first summer trip.

An afternoon coach trip for members to see the gardens of ‘The hospital of St Cross and the almshouses of the Noble poor in Winchester. The hospital was founded circa 1134 by Henry of Blois.

The Woolstore theatre presents it’s latest production ‘The Park Bench’. Charles always shares the same bench in the park with his wife, Rose. Now Charles is alone with his memories, until various people start to share the bench with him. Could one of them be the cause of him misplacing something? Could it have been stolen? Heytesbury and Codford football club is hosting a ‘Festival of football’. Matches will be played throughout the day, starting with the Heytesbury & Codford U12’s v Calne Town youth eagles at 10.35am. Dr Burroughs is a lecturer and after dinner speaker of some renown and in high demand. From the castles built in the middle ages to the 1930 semi. Codford and district gardening club meeting and talk titled ‘Finding the Theatricum botanicum in Salisbury cathedral. The guest speaker will be Gill Pelton.

Gill lives in Salisbury, is a speaker with the national association of flower arrangements societies. She has a particular interest in art history, has studied at Sparsholt college and has been a guide at Salisbury cathedral for many years. She will tell us all about the familiar flowers and trees depicted in the unearthed document!
