Codford and district gardening club meeting and talk titled ‘Feeding the Theatricum botanicum in Salisbury Cathedral’. The guest speaker will be Gill Pelton.

Gill lives in Salisbury, is a speaker with the National Association of Flower Arrangements Societies. She has a particular interest in Art History, has studied at Sparsholt college, and has been a guide at Salisbury cathedral for many years.

She will tell us all about the familiar flowers and trees depicted in the unearthed document!

Friday 19th

Crispin Thomas, The Stand-up historian, presents ‘Arnhem -A risk worth taking.’ at the Woolstore theatre.  A show, not a lecture. You will learn about Arnhem and Operation Market Garden presented in a modern and entertaining way. The wartime singer Eleanore Swayz will entertain you during the Interval.

When intelligence agent Kathryn Woodhouse is suspected of betraying the nation, her husband, also a legendary agent, faces the ultimate test of whether to be loyal to his marriage or his country.
