Codford Ladies circle visit the Great Bustards - Heather Earley.

The Ladies Circle recently held two trips to see the Great Bustards and each of the visits were very interesting and enjoyed by all, husbands/partners accompanied us on these visits.   Two trips were required as we had too many people for one visit.

 We met at the headquarters of The Great Bustard Group in Enford village hall and were taken by the guides in Land Rovers to the site where we were provided with binoculars in order to better see the birds in their natural environment.

 Altogether we saw one very flamboyant mail and about seven females, two of which were sitting on nests.
