Easter celebrations at St Peter’s and St Mary’s churches - Alasdair McGregor.

It was a delight to welcome over 60 people to St Peter's and St Mary's for Palm Sunday this past week.  Blessed are those who come in the name of the Lord!  

We kicked off the Triduum at St Peter's at 6pm Maundy Thursday, for our Last Supper with Hymns.  We then gathered in the north aisle for a light supper, along with readings and hymns, as we prepared for the quiet end. On Friday, there was an Hour before the Cross, with testimonies at St Mary's, at midday.   Then on Sunday, we were joined by many to celebrate the risen, conqu'ring son at 6am. The service was outside, with an outdoor fire, before retreating indoors to sing some vigorous Easter hymns.  At the end of the service, we had a good fry-up breakfast and fresh coffee!
