Codford Community Workshop is Open!
A new community initiative has arrived in Codford! The Codford Community Workshop officially opened on 10 October, offering a welcoming space for local people to make, mend, learn and share practical skills.
The idea began in March when Don Bartlett secured funding from National Highways to upgrade the workshop’s electricity supply and purchase the first set of tools. Further grants from Enterprise Car and Van Hire and the Warminster Area Board funded a storage container, installed with help from Village Hall volunteers.
The workshop is starting with woodworking, and everyone is welcome. Whether you have something wooden to repair, fancy making something new, or would simply like to learn how to use the tools, no previous experience is needed.
The long-term hope is for more volunteers to come forward, bringing different skills and ideas to help the workshop grow.
It's open on Saturday's, 10am to around midday(except 26 December and 2 January).
Why not pop in, have a look and see what you could make, mend or learn?
