Codford bell ringers mark VE day - Anthony Bainbridge

A happy band of bell ringers helped four villages to mark VE Day by pulling their ropes cheerfully at Boyton, Codford, Sutton Veny and Heytesbury churches. Ringers Tom, Nick, Kevin, Sarah D, Sarah H, Anthony, Ethan, Duncan and Caroline rang for about 15 minutes before piling back into their cars and moving on to the next location. The last port of call (of course - we were thirsty bell ringers!) was Heytesbury’s Red Lion.

All in all a very enjoyable and meaningful contribution to the national memorial.
