New Rector and Vicar appointed to join the Upper Wylye team - Alasdair McGregor

Delighted to report that Bishop Andrew shared the wonderful news during Evensong this evening at St Leonard's.  

 The Bishop of Ramsbury is delighted to announce that, subject to the usual processes, he has offered the post of Rector of the Upper Wylye Valley Team to the Reverend Michael Duff, who has accepted the post. Further, that he has offered the post of Team Vicar of the Upper Wylye to the Reverend Timothy Ling, who has also accepted! Please pray for Mike and Tim as they prepare for this new season of ministry. Further details of their arrival and licensing service will be shared once we have agreed these. My sincere and grateful thanks to all who took part in this successful process, and who have cared for the benefice during this long vacancy. Thanks be to God.

The sun came out and the Bishop preached beautifully to a congregation, inside and out, of over a hundred.  It was a truly lovely moment.  Phil tells us that, all going well, it will likely be November when Michael and Tim join us.
