Men’s Fellowship breakfast on Monday 5th January - Richard Jackman
On Monday 5th January Nicholas Walters was our in-house speaker, returning to talk about his grandfather, Sir Archibald McIndoe. Breakfasters learned (mercifully after they had eaten) about Sir Arthur’s carpaccio skills with a scalpel and also his holistic approach to care that vastly improved the treatment and rehabilitation of badly burned aircrew during WW2, who formed the famous 'The Guinea Pig Club', which had membership of over 650 by the end of the war. Almost £190 was raised for Nicholas’ nominated charity, the McIndoe Guinea Pigs Memorial Trust.
